My teaching philosophy...

In the era of research with rapidly changing technology, just an understanding of the subject will not suffice; one must keep in touch with changes. I aspire to expose my research thinking to my teaching in conversant with field of design. My teaching pedagogy and planning of units revolves around the notion of creativity in learning and making. All the planned assignments and tasks focuses on research, simplifying ideation process and understanding varied audience while combining empathy with creativity. Exposing the students to group activities, mind mapping and social interactions helps in their effective critical reflections and motivates them with the fact that every problem is a unique scenario and, a learning opportunity. Group projects and individual explorations remains an integral part of the unit planning to allow students approach their line of enquiry with more scaffolding in order to meet the desired outcome. I find myself navigating steep curves across interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary courses, just to try extending my design thinking through interactive opportunities and exchanging ideas.
